ABOUT THE ARTIST

K.A. Burruss is a self-taught artist based in Atlanta. He creates large-scale sculptures using recycled cardboard and hot glue. His work draws inspiration from animals, myths, and folklore, exploring themes of transformation and storytelling.
Cardboard is sustainable, abundant, and light weight— an ideal medium for building expansive forms. There's an alchemy in taking a common, discarded material and turning it into something meaningful and magical.
Through his work, he aims to challenge perceptions of value and beauty, while celebrating the imaginative potential of reuse.
